Carlos (Eduardo noriega) es un escritor de guiones de cine de unos 40 años frustrado profesionalmente. Irene (Michelle jenner) tiene unos 30 años y no tiene claro que hacer con su vida. Sobre ellos aun planean las sombras de sus antiguas relaciones: Maria (Amaia Salamanca) y Jorge (Gabino Diego). Cuando Irene se encuentra con Carlos en una libreria-cafe, sin conocerle de nada, se acerca a el y le propone un juego: convertir sus vidas anodinas en una aventura. Irene es una soñadora nata. Carlos ha olvidado como soñar. Juntos haran lo imposible por lograr ser felices. Solo hay una norma: no enamorarse.
